I know from personal experience change can be hard. It can be challenging to move forward on your own, take action and make changes, even if those changes can have amazing effects on your health and wellbeing, both mental and physical.  For me, the change began with changing the food I was eating, but it didn’t end there.

I changed what I was feeding my body, and that did help me immensely, but I still had to address what I was using to wash my body, my hair, my clothes and my dishes. I had to adjust and adapt what was in my environment so it supported a healthier me.

When I did this, and I did it over time, I regulated my sugar level so my hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) was under control, I lost twenty pounds without trying to lose weight, and even my decades long battle with chronic depression “disappeared”!

You may think low blood sugar wouldn’t be a problem, but I was told it can end up as Type2 Diabetes.

That got my attention!

But, enough about my journey here, what about you?

Did you know approximately 96 million American adults (that’s more than one in three) have prediabetes. Of those with prediabetes, more than 80% don’t know they have it yet because there aren’t a lot of noticeable symptoms.

Are you scared by the blood testing equipment to prick your finger twice a day and check your glucose levels? Maybe you have already been prescribed a giant bottle of Metformin to be your constant companion for the rest of your life or until to have to begin injecting yourself with insulin daily.

Perhaps you’ve read about the loss of eyesight or loss of limbs that can be the result of diabetes. Maybe you’re facing heart disease with the possibility of heart attack and stroke coming at you like a runaway freight train.

 

 

Once you are diabetic, the best you can do is manage your disease.

If you are prediabetic, you can still back yourself off a future diagnosis of full-blown Type 2 Diabetes, and that is very good news!
